Australia Calling!

Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, Dhaka, London and Las Vegas will soon be joined by Sydney as we prepare to launch the Australia Chapter of the SXCCAA which will mark the move of the Alumni Association to Down Under.

Work has already started and it is my pleasure to invite all Xaverians to book the dates as we prepare to unveil our seventh overseas chapter. If you know of Xaverians who are settled in Australia, please send us the relevant contact details so that we may request them to come on board.

Dear Xaverians,

I write to you on a happy note to share the good news that the sixth international chapter of the SXCCAA was launched in Las Vegas, USA on the 8th of this month. Led by Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Felix Raj, SJ, the Principal of the College and the President of SXCCAA a team of five alumni members, comprising of Chandan Roy Chaudhuri, Arindam Sil (Vice Presidents),Debasish Moitra, Ricky Chandra and your's truly participated from Kolkata.

We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the participating Xaverians from all parts of the USA - from students who left the college way back in 1954 to those passing out in 2012 - who in the truest spirit of Nihil Ultra joined to take the pledge: to renew the bonds of fraternity and rededicate themselves for the cause of their alma mater. The Chapter Coordinators Vikrant Kapoor and Ruben Ghoshal did an excellent job in not only putting the network in place but also in ensuring that we have a glitch less and near perfect programme. Join me as we applaud their effort.

The sapling has been planted and I am sure in the days and years to come, nurtured by values Xaverian, the giant oak will rise to its full splendor.
