Teacher’s Day was celebrated in
the College Auditorium with due reverence. Alumni members and students paid
their respects to the Teachers and the non teaching staff of the College.
Rev.Fr. Dr. J. Felix Raj, SJ, Principal of the
College, reminded the gathering the fact that the day also happens to be the
Feast of Mother Teresa and explained the role teachers play in shaping minds
and building institutions that test even time.
Prof. D. Sengupta who had joined
the college in 1982 was felicitated on the occasion who shared his experiences
during his long tenure in the College. The students of the college presented
various musical and dance programs before the assembled audience.
The programme was jointly
organized by SXCCAA and the SXC students Union.
G. P. Gupta, the senior most Vice
President of SXCCAA and the convener of the programme thanked everyone in his
wrap up speech.
